Privacy Policy

Reactive Koding built the Duit app as a Free app. This SERVICE is provided by Reactive Koding at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.

If you choose to use my Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that I collect is used for providing and improving the Service. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at Duit unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, while using our Service, I may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. Some information is processed locally on your device and some may be transmitted to our trusted service providers strictly to deliver the requested features:

  • Account and purchase information for in‑app subscriptions (via Google Play Billing and RevenueCat). This may include purchase tokens, anonymized app user identifiers, product identifiers, country, and subscription status. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
  • Optional AI Voice Input: When you choose to use voice input, your audio or audio snippets may be sent to Google speech services to generate a transcript, and the resulting text may be sent to the Gemini API to fulfill your request. We do not store your audio or transcripts on our own servers.
  • Optional AI Image Input: When you choose to analyze an image (e.g., receipt text recognition), on‑device ML Kit may process the image. If you choose an AI feature that sends extracted text to the Gemini API, only the extracted text is sent. We do not upload your raw images to our servers.

The information that I request is retained on your device where possible and is not collected by me in any way beyond what is necessary to operate the features described above. Third‑party services listed below may collect information used to identify you as required to provide their services.

Google Drive Backup Feature

The Duit app offers an optional Google Drive backup feature. If you choose to use this feature, your financial data and app settings may be securely stored in your personal Google Drive account. This backup is encrypted and only accessible by you. Duit does not access, collect, or store your backup data on its own servers. You can manage or delete your backups at any time via your Google Drive account.

In‑App Purchases and Subscriptions

We use Google Play Billing and RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, entitlements, and purchase validation. RevenueCat may receive purchase tokens, anonymized identifiers (e.g., an app user ID), product identifiers, subscription status, and limited device and country information to operate the service, prevent fraud, and provide customer support. We do not store your payment card details; payments are processed by Google.

AI Features (Voice and Image Input)

AI features are optional. When enabled by you:

  • Voice Input: Audio is processed by Google speech services to convert speech to text. The resulting text may be sent to the Gemini API to generate responses. We do not store your audio or the generated responses on our servers.
  • Image Input: Text recognition is performed using on‑device ML Kit where available. If you choose an AI action that requires sending extracted text to the Gemini API, only the extracted text is transmitted. We do not upload your raw images to our servers.
  • Purpose: We use these inputs solely to provide the requested AI functionality (e.g., transcribing a note, extracting totals from a receipt, or generating insights).
  • Controls: You can disable microphone and camera permissions at any time in your device settings and you can choose not to use AI features.

Log Data

I want to inform you that whenever you use my Service, in a case of an error in the app I collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

Service Providers

I may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Service;
  • To provide the Service on our behalf;
  • To perform Service-related services; or
  • To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

I want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf and as described above (e.g., subscription management, AI processing, backups). However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

Data Retention

  • We do not store your AI voice audio, image data, or Gemini prompts/responses on our servers.
  • Subscription and purchase records are retained by Google/RevenueCat as necessary to comply with legal, accounting, and fraud‑prevention obligations. See their policies for details.
  • App diagnostics and crash logs may be retained for a limited period to improve the Service.

Security

I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can disable microphone and camera permissions at any time.
  • You can choose not to use AI features; the core app remains functional.
  • You can cancel subscriptions via Google Play. Entitlements are managed by RevenueCat based on your Play subscription status.
  • Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions. AI features (voice and image input) are not intended for use by children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
